Today's engagement session is everything. Over the last year or so, we've been more and more drawn to minimalistic beauty. Today's outdoor engagement session in Greece by Wedding Sparrow favorites Les Anagnou has all of the right ingredients: bare feet + neutral colored gown with some movement + gorgeous but simple outdoor space + two people in love.

Yiota flawlessly captured the casual essence of Greece, a country that we're fortunate to have visited last year for the Boheme Workshop. The blue-green colors of the olive trees are even more magical in person, if you can imagine that! Read on to discover more of what inspired this gorgeous engagement session...

From Les Anagnou: "The thought of Greek wedding photography could conjour up the image of a beautiful postcard from Greece of white washed buildings and blue shutters set against a blue sea and rugged coastline. Here comes a fresh surprise by Les Anagnou to inspire and excite. This stunning engagement shoot was taken amongst the olive trees in the Methoni area in Peloponnesos, Greece during a Fine Art photography workshop, Boheme Workshop.

The elegant photographs are taken by Yiota, one half of Les Anagnou the Greek Fine Art wedding photography duo. She wanted to capture on film the simple, natural and innocent love of a couple newly engaged. This echo of sensual innocence and young love is reflected in the colours of the natural setting within an olive grove, as they are surrounded by swathes of plentiful dusky green leaves spread from gnarled tree trunks in contrast to the dried, bleached yellow leaves scattered over the stony ground.

Styled by Tahnee Sanders, simplicity, tradition and roots are the flavour with a traditional handmade hammock strung between two trees, the couple’s bare feet standing on the hard earth and the simple bohemian bridal gown from Free People.

She catches the perfect angles to reflect the relaxed feel of the shoot with the couple lounging in the hammock, a touch, the mixing of feet, the beautiful lines of their faces, the olive leaves, the feel of the hammock, the natural love the couple share."
