A Beautiful and Relaxed Rehearsal Dinner

Happy Monday dear brides and grooms to be! Today we’re taking a break from wedding inspiration to lust over some effortlessly beautiful rehearsal dinner beauty by photographer Elizabeth LaDuca. While admittedly most effort is spent on planning the wedding day, we encourage couples to also design their rehearsal and rehearsal dinner with meaning and aesthetics in mind.

Below we see a farm-to-table organic dinner inspiration by Heather Dawn Events. For this couple, a relaxed and simplistic event, with a gorgeous oversized farm table by Laurel Grove Shop (similar here), suited their upcoming wedding day perfectly well. Taking in to account what type of wedding day you envision for yourself is the most important factor! Want a formal feel? Perhaps a catered dinner at a local restaurant would suit your celebration well. Enjoy the outdoors and organic eats? Perhaps a celebration like this one would be your dream dinner!

Words from photographer Elizabeth LaDuca: "The venue is a gorgeous New England nature preserve . Its rolling lawn, quintessential weathered fence, and old stone knoll lend themselves perfectly to the essence of the dinner. The long wooden farm table provided a surface for the entire group to dine together in celebration, and was accented with mixed chairs. Chunky knit blankets and pillows were added for refined texture, as well as warmth as the sun set and dinner continued.

The beautiful table and bar design was made up of cheesecloth runners and entirely foraged florals; we love featuring all of the beautiful nature available in New England! Like the florals, service ware and other materials were gathered and mostly re-purposed. A vintage cross-legged farm table once used as a plating surface served perfectly as the bar, and a side table made from an 1800s New England farmhouse’s floorboards displayed other accoutrements beautifully. Vintage candlesticks, platters and place settings added an easy elegance and charm.

The true highlight of the evening was the menu, designed to feature sustainable, beautiful food local to the area. Plentiful cheeseboards and charcuterie lined the long table, and acted as appetizers before the full meal arrived. Guests dined family style, adding to the cozy, celebratory feeling of the meal. The bride and groom huddled under a blanket to ward off the evening chill, returning to the table after a quick walk to indulge in dessert. The golden hour light lingered before the sun finally set, with guests continuing to relax by candlelight.”
