Bold Avante Garde Wedding Inspiration from Path Workshop
We're transported today to the Marie Antoinette era at Chateau de Villette in France thanks to film photographer D'Arcy Benincosa and stylist Stay Co at the recent Path Workshop. From the colored wedding dresses, to the insane high fashion styling, this is a memorable avante garde editorial that leave you wanting to pack your suitcase and head to a Chateau in France....
From Stay Co.: "D'Arcy sent me pictures of the chateau in France months before the workshop. I was immediately inspired by all the themed colored rooms, gardens and ornate details. The era of the chateau had over the top fashion, classic details, and lots of monochromatic color. I went with those three things in this 6 look fashion inspired editorial. In the fashion we had a custom dress designed by The Bold Romantic to bring an Avante Garde, Marie Antoinette feel with inspiration from the Met Gala. I knew immediately that the shoot needed the incredible ruffle dress by Leanne Marshall, it had the perfect mix of modern and classical. We chose some pieces for incredible movement because painting a story was really important among the fashion content. All the details came together when working with Sonja Buehrke to create different monochromatic color suites that were all inspired by the rooms as well, made out of handmade paper by Eliv Rosenkranz to add in the perfect texture. Along with the handmade custom pieces made by All About Romance who brought the perfect ornate touch to the gowns.With all the fun and colorful looks I wanted to add in something to appeal to the romantic and classical bride. The last look that was created was inspired by the royal wedding, inspired by a natural ornate room with the perfect simple white dress by Leanne Marshall and floor length veil, handmade by A Girl and a Serious Dream. Topping it off with the most classic and simple Lily of the Valley bouquet by corcortez floral."
