Bridal designer spotlight: Idan Cohen SS25
Hand-sewn lace appliqué, intricate beadwork and exquisite necklines are just some of the details that caught our eye as Idan Cohen's SS25 bridal collection floated down the runway at NYBFW 2024. Under his rebrand of House of Cohen, Cohen presented a 26-look runway show of his two distinct new lines, Idan and Idan Atelier. The two collections for spring 2025 featured gorgeous silhouettes and a host of trending details, including corsetry, peplums and detachable sleeves. The Idan line continues to uphold his signature elegant simplicity, whereas Idan Atelier features new fabrications (such as the collection’s layered tulle gowns), innovative techniques and intricate handwork.
While both lines continue to uphold his signature style, Cohen said that this season, both were inspired by his move from Tel Aviv, Israel, to the picturesque countryside of Lambertville, New Jersey. “I went deeper with the florals of this year with roses, dahlias, leaves and gardens," Cohen told WWD. "Here, the nature is so beautiful — it’s impacted and pushed me to do even more florals. I did a full board with a lot of different motifs and started to develop the fabrics, the textures, the colors. We are not doing only white but also nudes, pinks, blush pink, a little silvery."
Lotus is a strapless lace mermaid gown adorned with hand-sewn lace appliqué, beading, and sequins throughout. Features a sweetheart neckline and a detachable beaded tulle and lace appliqué cape. Not shown on runway but available with detachable beaded tulle and lace appliqué sleeves.
Amelia is a long-sleeve allover beaded lace and sequin mermaid dress with illusion sweetheart neckline. Not shown on runway but available with a tulle and lace appliqué veil.
Marigold is a sweetheart neckline jumpsuit with 3D floral elements, beadwork, sequins. Not shown on runway but available with detachable beaded and sequin overskirt.
Margaret is an allover beaded lace ballgown with glitter mesh tulle, featuring scattered beading. Highlights include a strapless sweetheart neckline with asymmetrical ruched detailing and a waterfall skirt with a slit. Not shown on the runway but available with a beaded lace appliqué veil.
