Classic Country Club wedding in Portland, Oregon
You know what we don't see enough of at weddings? Chic groomsmen gifts! Groom Miles had the right idea, gifting his buddies monogrammed socks and My Father Le Bijou 1992 cigars and cutters, while they got ready for his classic country club wedding to Kristen in Portland, Oregon.
After tying the knot in the church that Kristin grew up going to, the couple welcomed their guests to their wedding reception at Waverley Country Club. The elegant, traditional country club captures the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, which the couple wanted to showcase to their guests travelling up from California. Kristin's desire for a classic and timeless wedding together with Miles’ passion for golf made it the perfect venue.
The celebrations featured a nod to Kristin’s Scottish with the Stumptown Piper performing on the bagpipes before guests sat down for dinner. Miles’s chose a Transfusion (known as golf’s greatest cocktail) for his signature cocktail, which was a huge hit with the guests.
"Our wedding was the first time many of our guests had visited Oregon and it meant so much to have them celebrate us," explained Kristen. "Some of our favorite memories from the day were our first look, enjoying our signature cocktails on the balcony overlooking cocktail hour on the lawn below, and walking out to 'Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!'"
