Taking ordinary objects like oysters or mussels, that are native to the area you're getting married in or planning to shoot in, can take your collection of photographs from solely beautiful to relevant and meaningful.

From stylist Jessica Sloane and photographer Jessica Lorren: "We were inspired by the vastness and the blue tones of the sea. We wanted to create an image that captured the elegance and strength of the ocean and wanted to use oysters to convey it in someway to carry the blue tones. We took oyster shells, bleached them, and they became a beautiful pearlized blue. We were so excited once we saw the color that we started coming up with ways to incorporate them. thats when we got the idea to make a crown."
MUSSEL CROWN DIY
1. Collect mussel shells
2. Let the shells sit over night in bleach
3. Rinse & dry the shells
4. Form a crown base using wire - we twisted two wires together to make it thick enough
5. Glue ribbon underneath for comfort
6. Hot glue each mussel shell to the wire/ribbon
