Wedding Sparrow fave, stylist Lacy Geary, typed these words when describing this Earthy waterfall bridal session and they really resonated with us. From stylist Lacy Geary: "For this shoot I wanted to portray a sense of calmness that you find in the wilderness, a peace that washes over you when you are out in nature and nothing else is there to distract you. With that I wanted to evoke the strength and power that nature also has, sometimes it is hidden and other times it is right in front of you. It appears without warning and overwhelms the soul.

The location of the shoot came about by mere happenstance. On the way to a waterfall that I thought would be the perfect place, we crossed over this amazingly serene and strong locale. The waterfall was always the main element that I wanted to express the strength and power that nature holds, but I also wanted a calming element and the river upstream provided just that.

Creating a sense of "this belongs here" was extremely important and keeping with more earthy elements was how I chose to bring in that feeling.

I have a deep passion and love for the woods, nature and what God has given naturally to us, uninterrupted by what man has created. To share this soft, natural beauty with others was what initiated this type of shoot.

The brides had an innocence and tranquility about her, balancing out the strong surroundings of the waterfall and massive trees that lined the river. In preparing for the moment to meet the love of her life she was taking this time to cleanse her soul and thoughts. Walking through the crystal clear waters and drinking in the essence of nature she became whole in knowing that she would share this beautiful world with her soulmate."
