Ethereal Boudoir, Engagement, and Bridals from Gather and Grow Workshop
Earlier this year we were fortunate to partner with Amanda Watson. Julian N, and Sophie Kaye for their second Gather and Grow workshop, this time held at beautiful Alder Manor in Yonkers, NY. It was really neat and different to work with three fantastic photographers with unique perspectives, expertise, and distinctive styles. Attendees were treated to three stunning shoots and multiple learning sessions by these uber talented hosts! Today we're featuring each shoot and my goodness... they were beautiful as designed by stylist Emma Natter. Not the "epic/otherworldy/high editorial" type of beautiful. These shoots were real, raw, authentic, and fully embodied the term "lovely" in every way possible.
Amanda Watson sent us her boudoir images, as she was teaching in this room. All I heard here the entire day was how surprisingly stunning this shoot was, given the simplistic nature. Megan Bea Tiernan, this adorable Irish model, was a complete rockstar, the light was insane, and boudoir is intimate in nature so it was just perfect. I love Amanda's photographs here - serene, purely emotive, and nostalgic.
The engagement couple, Abbey Ford and Alejandro Rodriguez, were the cutest, giggliest sweethearts of all time. Julian N taught this station and his images really show off their two sides so well - they were young at heart and made you smile when you looked at them and they had their quiet, deeply moving moments too. I loved the Tatyana Merenyuk pieces on Abbey and her slightly casual look being barefoot with tousled tresses by Alena Bakovska.
And then there was Rachel and Tanner Brockbank. Le sigh. If there ever was a true fairytale prince and princess living and breathing among us, it would be Rachel and Tanner. Rachel's outer beauty was enough to blind us all as she is one of those women who walks into a room and just shines. Tanner was handsome and wonderful and his love for Rachel was the most heartwarming thing EVER. Sophie Kaye taught this station and what I loved most is that you could get a sense of this couple's beautiful heart through her lens. The ceremony decor and florals by The Petaler Co were in-cred-ible. Amazing. The entire shoot just felt right with this couple, the simple yet organic details, and historic Alder Manor.
Overall, the attendees left with such inspiring images and a whole wealth of knowledge learning from different artist and vendors. Loved this day!
