EXCLUSIVE - Vera Wang Bridal Spring 2017 Preview
Vera Wang is not one to follow the rules. After Vera created a film evoking the feel of her bride-to-be back in April this year instead of presenting her latest collection in her showroom or bridal atelier, we were intrigued when we received an exclusive invite to the Spring 2017 Vera Wang Bridal Collection at their London store recently.
The new bridal selection was filled with tulle, lace, and organza and we could instantly see why A-listers Kim Kardashian, Hillary Duff, Ivanka Trump and Jennifer Garner all wore Vera Wang on their wedding day.
With diaphanous dresses accentuated with pearl and floral embroidery, there are also the familiar structured silhouettes with pieces featuring boning, corsetry, or both. Some Wedding Sparrow favorites, too with long-sleeve, high-neck, styles like 'Waverley' but it was the opulent styles like 'Dagmar' and 'Sigourney' that stood above the rest.
Leading the bridal pack, Vera Wang is setting the pace in the industry. Remember the black and nude colored gowns? Something that didn't naturally occur in the mind of the modern bride until Vera showed them just how it could be done while still looking natural and fashion forward.
