Fine Art Wedding Dresses - Cathy Telle
Cathy Telle creates stunning fine art wedding dresses that we've always been in awe of. And her newest range of dresses, Grace, were inspired by non other than real life princesses. Without the usual puffy skirts and 1980s sleeves, these gowns are the epitome of timeless design and graceful layering. We LOVE them...
From Cathy Telle: "We have been keeping a secret for too long, but the time has come to tell a bit about “the blue blood” of the new collection “Grace”. Modern princesses and their wedding dresses became the idea and the inspiration. We have chosen the princesses, who became the personification of the whole era and interpreted their wedding images in the style of Cathy Telle. Our favourite is Grace Kelly and the whole line of dresses carries her name. This girl, who is extremely charismatic and lucky, not only became the favourite actress of Alfred Hitchcock and Oscar prize winner but… the Princess of Monaco.
It’s great that unlike princesses, for our dresses there are no limitations and frames. Nevertheless, this prototype is very close to the original and the classics, the silhouette, the cut, the lace fringe; only the skirt is more airy, following the best traditions of Cathy Telle."
That’s right! We were waiting for this wedding as much as Kate herself. 10 years of relationship is not a joke! Everybody admired Kate Middleton’s dress for a good reason – it was graceful, combining the classics and modernity, exactly what was expected of it.

The princess of Jordan is not a very public person and her wedding ceremony was no exception, everything happened in a family circle. Nevertheless, a beautiful traditional white dress with golden embroidery didn’t go unnoticed. In our imagination Iman was very modest and appealing, which is exactly what we were trying to convey in a lace back of the dress with the closed bodice and a more lush silhouette.
The wedding dress of the Princess of Monaco was made from Duchess pear satin and was created by Giorgio Armani himself, who is the princess’ favourite designer. Even the sketch of the bouquet was designed by Armani to go with the dress and implemented by the gardeners of the palace from wide orchids and freesias. In this dress design we kept the silhouette, but the lace décor was moved to the back and thick satin was changed with cotton, silk and chiffon.
It’s been a year from the moment the idea of a “royal” collection was born till the shooting of the ready dresses. A lot of work has been done but we are happy and proud to present our pet project, a unique collection of dresses “Grace”.
