Romantic sunset proposal at Antica Torre Tornabuoni in Florence
In the bustling heart of Florence, Zachary proposed a lifelong adventure to Lizzie in an intimate setting with breathtaking city views and the magical golden of a Tuscan sunset. Of course she said yes!
With the help of destination wedding photographer Sergio Sorrentino and Florence event designer and florist, Scent of Orchid, Zachary selected the Antica Torre Tornabuoni as the scene for his proposal. "The grand medieval tower from the 13th century is now a symbol of elegance in Florence and the perfect setting for their special moment," explains Sergio.
"As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink, an unsuspecting Lizzie stepped onto the terrace with Zachary. There, surrounded by Florence’s panoramic beauty - from the iconic dome of Santa Maria del Fiore to the picturesque hills of Fiesole and Bellosguardo - the magical moment arrived.
"As Zachary knelt, the air filled with the sweet melody of a violin serenading “Best Part” by Daniel Caesar featuring H.E.R. - a meaningful song to them both. Surrounded by this romantic symphony, the terrace was aglow with candles and adorned with lush flowers in soft shades of purple, pink, and blue - Lizzie’s favorite colors.
"After the touching proposal and a photoshoot to capture their joy, we moved to the venue’s other scenic spot, the Lounge Terrace. Here, under the starry Florentine sky, the couple enjoyed a romantic dinner to celebrate the meticulously planned proposal and the beginning of their forever."
