Rustic Countryside Bridal Session
Today's feature, photographed by Nikki Nicole and designed by The Happy Bloom and Tristan Needham Design, is the absolute perfect balance of rustic and elegant. If you read the words below, you'll learn that lovely Nikki was searching for a way to pair her aesthetic and the aesthetic of her amazing couples with the rustic, countryside setting that she finds in abundance where she lives in Florida. The team did a phenomenal job and we know plenty of couples will find the design elements totally steal-worthy: a classic silhouette for a gown, a loose and organic hairstyle, natural and dewey makeup, and a classic color palette of natural greens and muted neutrals....

This is why editorial work is so vital to a photographer’s career. With editorials, we try to bridge the gap between where we are now and where we want to be. This process allows so much room for growth, education and experience.
When Nikki came to Tristan Needham and myself to refresh her brand, we immediately picked up on to her goals and creative vision. We knew that throwing her into an over the top shoot with an audience she wouldn’t connect with, wouldn’t be beneficial to her. We wanted to find a creative bridge that made sense for her brand. We saw where she was: a Florida photographer shooting mostly outdoor weddings in a rustic setting. To elevate this, we took the similar idea, but relocated it to a city known for its high end brides, added a hand made gown, antique jewelry, and carefully curated paper goods. Historic Middleton Place was the perfect backdrop. Middleton is known for its beautiful and grand weddings but is also a fully functioning farm. The venue itself IS a bridge between her typical barn wedding and the high end venues she’s looking to connect with in 2017. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect sunset that day. We’re truly honored to share our experience with such a kind and driven soul."
