The Perfect Honeymoon in Tuscany
We love everything about Italy, from the stellar food and wine to the storied landscapes and art-filled churches. The country spans multiple regions, from the tiny towns along Lake Como to the wilds of rural Sicily. But for honeymoons and destination weddings, Tuscany wins our hearts. With easy access, rolling slopes, tidy rows of cypress trees, gorgeous stone villas and medieval-era castles looking down from the hilltops, this is the Italy of your dreams.
The lovely couple Elena and Sebastian were married on the 18th July 2020 in Germany and traveled right after their feast to the incredible Villa Montanare and spend their dreamy honeymoon for 10 days...
From Weddings by Silke: "Elena and Sebastian from Germany were always dreaming about a wedding in Tuscany. Since many friends and family have little children they decided to getting married in July 2020 in Germany – at least in a Tuscan seeming location. As you can imagine it was a very exciting time because of Coronavirus and they weren't sure until last minute if their wedding would really take place. But they made it and of course after some months of up and downs they were excited for a relaxed honeymoon. Usually they liked to travel to Hawaii, but since they weren't able to travel to the USA, they were looking for a beautiful escape in Tuscany..."
From bride Elena: "Villa Montanare is one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited, making it the best choice for our honeymoon. Our expectations were exceeded in every way. Every corner inside and outside has been designed with great attention to detail and a flair for aesthetics. The rooms exude the special charm of the old house and the outdoor area offers several wonderful places for alfresco dining with a view of the beautiful Tuscan countryside.In any case, you should book the private chef dinner and breakfast. For us, both were culinary experiences of a special kind - excellent dishes in a wonderful setting that was individually decorated for us. It should also be emphasized that the rooms are very pleasantly cool and we slept extremely well every night.
The Villa Montanare offers a very good starting point for excursions to the surrounding cities (e.g. Florence, Assisi, Cortona, Siena). We also enjoyed every second by the beautifully landscaped pool. The hosts also got full marks. Silke & Andreas are absolutely warm and we really enjoyed our time together. We felt welcome from the start and like staying with friends. We will definitely be back soon!“
