WEDDING SPARROW WINS WEDDING BLOG OF THE YEAR 2016 - WEDDING MAGAZINE BLOG AWARDS
You may have seen recently that Wedding Sparrow was nominated for 3 awards at the Wedding Magazine Blog Awards 2016. Well we never thought in a million years that we would walk away with ANY of these awards let alone the award of the night - BEST WEDDING BLOG 2016. Of all the wedding blogs in the industry, little 'ol Wedding Sparrow won last week. It had us in amazement all weekend and will probably not sink in for quite some time.
But why do we think we're not worthy? It's something that I personally struggle with and what some people/brand/blogs get so right. Tooting your own horn is not something I'm comfortable with. "We're the best!" "We do everything right!" It's simply not true. We're little fish swimming in a big sea of incredible businesses and brands and just doing our own thing. It's only occasionally we're reminded that we really should shout 'toot toot!' sometimes. It's good for us to recognise how far we've come and even though we're still learning every day, we constantly push ourselves to be better for our readers and vendors. Our growth and quality of our features is the most important thing to us and whilst we work away across the globe with our fine art blinkers on, we're careful to not look at other blogs to avoid comparison - otherwise we'd never climb out of our pit of despair!
