3 Ideas for your Romantic Late Summer Wedding
Getting ready for your late summer fete? Today's feature, showing off this marvelous golden hue across the field, designed by Southern Affairs and photographed by Shannon Skloss Photography had us reminiscing on the unique vibes that late-summer brings. If you're saying 'I do' during this time, we know it can be a bit hard. You're not drawn to the light pastels that spring and early summer bring and it doesn't feel time to bring in autumnal tones yet either... so what's a bride to do?
SHEER + LACE DRESS
The best of both worlds, right? The sheer material looks flawless for summer and lace always brings a certain elegance to the table. This Made With Love dress is stunning in every way. We also love these three near perfect duplicates: one, two, three (our fave, a strapless version).
BRIGHT JEWEL TONES
The key to jewel tones in summer is keeping them on the bright side, not the muted autumnal side. We love the bright butterscotch and magenta tones that florist Selva Floral brought in. Even more interesting is the difference in the bride's stunning bouquet, which is more muted and pastel, and the centerpiece. To have a differences keeps the design in both seasons.. LOVE.
A HAIR CHANGE
Who says you have to keep your hair up OR down? We love the element of surprise that hair artist Natalia Issa created for this bride's look! Especially when you have the heat to worry about during the day. Why not try a loosely pinned up up-do for the ceremony, then let it all loose once the sun starts to go down? Don't worry so much about creases in your hair... your hairstylist can give you their best tips and tricks!
From Southern Affairs: "Monet Vineyards was the stunning inspiration for this entire shoot and just knew that I had to design something amazing to do this venue justice. Seeing the driveway entrance all the way up to the breathtaking front of the house I immediately thought summer harvest! A simple but stunning summer look set in the vineyard, filled with feminine-romantic touches that would highlight the venue and that real couples could look to for relatable wedding inspiration. When it came to pulling the final details for this shoot together we had to ensure the perfect team. Wanting to keep this look simple but still romantic, Selva Floral created gorgeous forages floral with the most lush colors and fresh fruits. The super talented Natalia Issa enhanced the model’s natural beauty in a way that perfectly complimented the Made with Love Bridal gown. Chef’s Table Catering prepared the most mouth watering salad and salmon entree’s that we were dying to eat. And Lazywood Lane created the most stunning paper details that included a hand painted water color of the venue. I could not have asked for a more amazing group to collaborate with."
