Adam and Amanda’s Classic Estate Wedding

Jan 20, 2017 | Weddings

Amanda and Adam's timeless estate wedding was planned in just eight weeks, we repeat: eight weeks! From the incredibly beautiful and classic details like the full florals by Palais, Amanda's chic Jesus Piero via Miss Bush gown, and the traditional St Mary’s Church, we certainly have an appreciation for their style. However, what struck us most was definitely some of the sweet details like Amanda's own daughters singing 'Ave Maria' as she walked down the aisle - now this is something that could bring a tear to your eye.

Revel in the romantic images by Taylor & Porter and dream away for your classic nuptials...

from Liz Linkleter Event Planning & Design, Stylist & Planner: “We originally met Amanda and Adam to discuss their wedding for the following year. When they came back to us to say they needed to bring it forward, to a date just over 8 weeks away, we knew it was going to be a challenge – and of course, we went for it! The whole thing was an intense but wonderful experience in so many ways, and I look back on it very fondly.

The couple have a love of old-school Hollywood glamour and history, so we knew traditional elements were important, but always with a contemporary appeal. They wanted to marry in the gardens of Adam’s family home, where he spent a lot of his childhood – the perfect setting for an elegantly understated English country wedding, with a stylish but timeless aesthetic. The colour palette included soft peaches, pinks and creams, with accents of gold, amber and navy. Palais Flowers wowed us with their beautiful, romantic florals, including hanging foliage crowns alongside the chandeliers in the marquee. The garden party feel was really important to the couple, so we made sure there was a relaxed, atmospheric and fun vibe, with plenty of garden furniture, picnic rugs and cushions for people to chill out on, and a separate lounge tent too.

The couple married in the local church, where Amanda’s daughters sang ‘Ave Maria’ as she walked down the aisle – a spine-tingling moment! Afterwards guests headed to the house, where we held the drinks reception on the lawns in the sunshine, with the wedding breakfast to follow in the beautiful canvas marquee. As darkness fell, we lit the gardens with magical sparkling lights and flaming torches. The dancing that followed carried on late into the night, punctuated by a surprise fireworks display organised by the groom. All in all, a really special and beautiful day.”
