Blush and Marigold Wedding in a Provencal Abbey

Sep 11, 2018 | Inspiration

Today's beauty is such a quintessential Provencal wedding look with the soft tones and old world charm. I know we just said this yesterday, but France really is one of our favorite places in the world and there's no charm like Provence. We fell in love with the quiet, serene nature of this wedding design by Marelles Weddings and the film photographs by Marinella De Castro. The florals were a cheerful mix of blush and light golden tones, marigold as we call it, and the texture of the arrangements by Mademoiselle Jules is impeccable. See for yourself...

From photographer Marinella De Castro: "This shoot is a love story which take place in Provence. Far from the lavender fields, in this new facet of the region. We had a particular desire to shoot in a convent or an abbey, an elegant atmosphere on the background of old stones. For this session, we wanted a story about elegance and the encounter with Marinella brought us this french touch to our love story. We agreed about the style, the place and the atmosphere for our wedding inspiration.

Saint Eusebe Abbey in Saignon collected all these expectations: old stones, a vaulted room, an idyllic park with the authentic Provence landscapes. We imagined a very refined scenography. A table prepared with refinement, wood, ceramic dishes, a silk throwing, elegant stationery in a play of transparency and in centerpiece a luminous floral composition mixing flowers and grasses. It was essential for us to have warm hue like yellow or ocher on a clear background and mix simple but delicate materials, all this to have a chic result but not too much.

We surrounded ourselves with quality providers and with whom we work regularly. Graphikkart for her delicat stationery, Mademoiselle Jules for her creativity and her flower arrangements always more sophisticated, Jeanne Source for a stylish dress, Faubourg Saint Sulpice for the bright and trendy groom’s suit and others for whom we had a crush. For the furniture we wanted to work with Véronique from Bazar de Rêve who offers a wide range. She knew immediately to define our desires like an obvious. La Maison Jacob, for ceramic, was someone we had been following for a long time on social networks. She proposes craft creations which bring freshness. I

t was lovely of him to have been able to work with us on this project. We were very lucky to have professional models, Viktoria and Guillaume from Enjoy Models Agency. When they saw each other a bond was created and a magical feeling was born during the photo shoot, which Marinella perfectly captured. Emilie Green took care of makeup and hairdressing. Everything was sublimated with the Lyla Haircomb accessory from Jannie Baltzer. Finally, Myrtille Beck, jewelery in Paris, who is known for his refined and timeless creations, perfected the session with her lovely jewelry collection, the cherry on the cake."
