Burgundy and Lilac: An Unexpected Wedding Floral Combination
As if in the midst of some sort of fairytale, today we're immersed in this lilac and soft burgundy dream at a WS favorite venue, Hammersky Vineyards. We are always advocates for the unexpected and this color combination certainly qualifies as such... deep and romantic tones that pair flawlessly with the sophisticated elegance of the rolling hills in the vineyards. Famed stylist, and also a WS favorite, Joy Proctor designed this beautiful editorial with opulence in mind and we're head over heels with the way the light bounces across the grounds as captured on film by photographer Artiese....
From the photographer, Artiese: “Deep burgundy and soft lilac create a rich yet delicate colour palette combination that is nothing short of perfection, as captured in this shoot that was styled by Joy Proctor from the Principles of Styling. The handpainted floral cake by Lele Patisserie was layered with real flowers and the cake table was adorned with flower arrangements by Lavenders Flower. The Hammersky Vineyards draped a stunning backdrop for the tablescape, which was magnificently decorated with gold flatware, soft lilac linen, burgundy napkins, and neutral tapered candles. The beautiful bride’s Monique Lhuillier dress was paired with a custom feathered topper by Annie Cavallo. Lastly, hair and makeup by the lovely and talented Janet Villa. “
