Classic Chesapeake Bay wedding at the Gibson Island Club
If finding your dream wedding dress isn't the magical experience you hoped it would be, know that you're not alone! Bride Amanda had no idea what style she wanted and tried on dress after dress until she finally found the one. "My mom and I spent considerable time exploring various designers, trunk shows, and shops in both New York and Philadelphia," she explains. "As we searched, I found myself irresistibly drawn to gowns with intricate embellishments, romantic designs, and figure-flattering silhouettes. It was during our visit to Galia Lahav in Soho, which happened to be our second-to-last stop, that I had moment of clarity. The instant I slipped into my gown, I knew it was the one."
Amanda looked effortlessly elegant when September rolled around and she tied the knot with beau Mac at The Gibson Island Club in Maryland. The celebration was captured by destination wedding photographer and Fine Art Curation member, Lisa Blume, and was everything you would expect from a classic Chesapeake Bay wedding - elegant, relaxed and a whole lot of fun.
Over to bride Amanda to tell us more about it: "We wanted our wedding to be a true reflection of our personalities, bringing together playfulness, vibrance, and, of course, love. Opting for a garden black tie theme for our wedding attire was the perfect choice, as it beautifully combined elegance with a touch of fun. We incorporated pops of vibrant colors and embraced less traditional looks as the foundation for our wedding style.
"When it came to planning, we had a clear hierarchy of priorities. Topping the list was the ceremony, followed closely by dancing and an open bar. Mac and I understood that sharing our personal vows would be the highlight of our special day. Choosing Mac’s father as our officiant held deep significance for us, as he possessed an intimate understanding of both of us as individuals and as a couple. The ceremony was a real highlight and given the chance, we would eagerly choose to relive that moment again and again. Our afterparty and dancing on the bar was another favorite moment!"
