Classic country club white wedding in Illinois
When wedding planning, sometimes you're lucky enough to meet someone and know instantly they're the right person for the job. That was the case for today's bride Stephanie and our Fine Art Curation member Amy Mulder Photography. "I knew as soon as I met Stephanie that she was ‘my bride.’ We talked as if we were old friends who just had not been able to see each other for a while," explains Amy.
Stephanie and Walker's wedding was held at Country Club of Peoria in Peoria Heights, Illinois, which sits on a bluff and gives spectacular views to the river valley below. The couple opted to go without a wedding party but close friends and family were still very much part of their day. During Stephanie's first look with father, he presented her with a very special gift: a beautiful necklace containing a diamond from her grandmother’s engagement ring.
It was unseasonably hot on their wedding day, but the couple were prepared with custom labelled water bottles and wooden fans to keep guests cool during the ceremony. Their beloved pup Ace preceded Stephanie down the aisle to a string quartet, sporting a leash of flowers. The ceremony was followed by cocktail hour on the patio, with a live band and tables beautifully decorated with taper candles and tall candelabras. Stephanie and Walker's sweetheart table sat in front of a floral archway by Sterling Flower Shoppe, with a hanging chandelier and billowing flag adorned with their new family crest.
