Elegant Destination Real Wedding in Italy
Anastasiya and Christopher are an international couple with a love for travel and exquisite taste. This true love story began while Anastasiya and her cousin were heading to the United States for the first time and sweet Christopher reached out to her on a Couchsurfing forum... talk about fate! It comes to no surprise this lovely couple had a stunning wedding full of style and grace. Read on to see how they celebrated the night in these stunning photographs by the very talented Erich McVey...
From the bride: "Christopher and I share a special love and connection to Rome and Castelli Romani. We saw our wedding as an opportunity for our loved ones from all over the world to get together to celebrate our love while enjoying the views, the food and the wine. We wanted to make it romantic, timeless and elegant. At the same time, we wanted to stay true to our cultural origins and heritage. As such, we ended up incorporating Russian, Norwegian and American traditions into the perfect set of the Roman hills.
If you’ve ever met a Norwegian or a Russian, then you can probably imagine that we like to party and celebrate life. From “Skål”, to “Za Zdorovie”, from “Cin-Cin” to “Cheers” – we could not stop the fun speeches and heartfelt toasts. At the dinner table, Norwegian guests pulled a traditional joke on us: when they stamped their feet on the ground, Christopher and I had to get under the table and kiss; when they clinked silverware against wine glasses, we had to stand on our chairs and kiss. As the night evolved, Christopher and I brought out a silver bowl with traditional Russian caviar and vodka: while I offered a shot to each guest, Christopher spoon-fed them with a caviar. It was a fun night!"

Thanks for sharing each square was a great great really love it in one word
A lot of words have been said about Italy and celebrations in this delightful country and it’s definitely true. Italy is the best choice for such events as weddings.
The climate in Italy is mild, all year round is sunny and warm, gorgeous landscapes, in every city you can feel the echoes of history, Italian food isinsanely delicious and of highest quality, and last, but not least impeccable Italian sense of style.
This is ALL so beautifully photographed but then Eric McVey’s work always is! Her gold tattoo is a unique little detail & that dress… my goodness.
I’m blown away by the beauty of all of these shots. I love the Italian scenery, the sparkly wedding dress, the graininess of the photos. It’s all so beautiful.
Looking at these photos I projectile another era. Very Very beautiful!
