Elegant lavender, blush and mauve spring wedding inspiration

Welcome to 2018! We are so beyond excited for this year. The Wedding Sparrow team has lots of incredible projects and dreams for this year and most of all, we are thrilled to get to know our couples better. For starters, take a peek at some of our reader favorites from 2017... those weddings alone are enough inspiration for us all to get married multiples times (same husbands of course)!

Today we're kicking things off with a dose of femininity. Blush and mauve have steadily been on our color palette list for a few years, but lavender sneaks up there every once in a while. Photographer Allen Tsai, a favorite of ours for quite some time, has this way of elevating the radiance of a scene to a timeless, heirloom photograph. Stylist Kari Ellen designed this wedding to be both romantic an contemporary, all at once. We adore every element here so don't forget to PIN and save for later!

From stylist Kari Ellen Events: "My hope in designing this editorial was to combine clean, minimalist lines with soft but lush floral, creating a romantic and refined setting. The structured lines of the table were balanced with delicate colors and a variety of texture showcased within the floral arrangements. Oftentimes purple can be viewed as harsh and one dimensional, so I aimed to create a subtle palette of lavender, mauve, and dusty rose with ivory and golden touches. The location provided a natural and serene backdrop adding to the simplicity of the scene. The delicacy of the shoot was carried over into the bridal robe as well as the wedding gown. We wanted to ensure that both inspired modesty with gentle movement. Because the models are engaged, we capitalized on their genuine affection and playfulness for each other. Each element contributed to the pure and serene concept of the editorial."
