English Manor Wedding at Stansted House

Feb 18, 2019 | Weddings

Ooh a quaint English country church wedding is up today for all those enamoured with the English countryside (that's everyone right?!) thanks to Fine Art Curation member Camilla Arnhold Photography. This BEAUTIFUL wedding took place at Stansted House, a Grade II Country House in West Sussex. Scarlett (an English Rose) and Alex were married in St. John Bapsist Church and carried on the day in true English form with Champagne and canapes.

From the bride, Scarlett: "We met in a bar in Clapham, London in December 2011 and danced the night away... Alex proposed to me in August 2016 at the Four Seasons in Hampshire. We had a long engagement which actually was so perfect as we really enjoyed having lots of time to plan the wedding!

We wanted a beautiful English summer wedding. We loved our colour scheme blush and Ivory and decided on adding hints of rosé gold as it's my favourite. We got married in a local church in the village where my family home was and Stansted House was somewhere where I had been visiting since I was young, it's a stunning location for a wedding!"

"I've been visiting Stansted House since I was young, it's such a beautiful house and always thought how amazing a wedding would be there. So when we started looking at locations after we got engaged this was the first location we visited and we both loved it, after that no other location felt right! The staff were all amazing there too and made the day so special.

Most of our vendors we used on the day were recommended to us or people we knew. It definitely made us more at ease on the day. They were all so amazing and made our day so memorable.

I think the main bit of advice we could give was that we enjoyed the day also. It's the one day that you have all your family and friends in one room together celebrating you both. The day goes so quickly, so make sure you take it all in and enjoy it together. Trust your vendors as they know what they are doing and actually we didn't get involved once on the day, everything was so perfect and we loved every minute of it!"
