New York City weddings are unmistakable. We love seeing how couples plan and style weddings in the Big Apple in their own unique way, so we were thrilled when Janet and Donn's exquisite NYC wedding dropped in our inbox. Over to bride Janet: "Donn and I deliberated and planned so many versions of our wedding since the end of 2019, which now feels like a lifetime ago. Our pre-pandemic plans were to host a much larger black tie wedding at New York Botanical Garden. Instead, after several postponements and venue changes, we landed on a more centrally located and intimate venue in New York City - Peak on Hudson Yards.

"There was something so magical about celebrating the next step in our lives together in the city we first met. Nothing has given me more reasons to be thankful than the moment I walked into the ceremony space, 101 stories above Manhattan, and saw our guests’ eyes, peeping over their masks, brimming with love, support and care.

"Indoors at Peak, we found ways to tie in our bucket-list honeymoon destination, South Africa, by working with a premier stationer who called South Africa home. Papier Handmade Finery conjured up the paper goods of our dreams and incorporated soft cream, ivory, gold and ochre. Our florist worked with us to fill our modern space with more warmth by using lush blooms and texture. Our tablescape along with every detail and the flow of logistics were a product of our master planner and stylist, Le Petite Prive.

"This extraordinary evening was captured and memorialized by our amazing photographer Bo Shim Photo and cinematographer Frank Ahn Films for Donn and me to share with those who couldn’t join us in person. Without this team, this evening would not have been possible.

"Donn and I took a moment to stand in the middle of the reception space before guests walked in to appreciate the twinkling lights of Manhattan’s skyline and the warm glow of the candles. We shared a quick promise to always remember the feelings from that evening and to carry in our hearts an abundance of love and gratitude as we moved forward together in our married lives."
