French Château destination wedding with Spring Flowers
Guests spanning five different continents travelled to Paris to celebrate Cassie and Josh's French destination wedding at Château de Champlâtreux. The couple fell in love with the vast lush gardens and baroque architecture of the chateau, and the proximity to Paris was a bonus for their international family and friends.
Over to bride Cassie to tell us more about their gorgeous spring wedding day in the French countryside: "We wanted a whimsical, pastel color palette, mainly white and light pink shades, with touches of blue. Our florist BayaFlor & Design created natural country spring garden designs, included peonies, sweet peas, a variety of garden roses, phlox and lisianthus in pastel shades. Some small touches of red were added in the dining room flower arrangements to highlight the chateau red curtains and contrast with the pale blue table linen.
"Josh's suit was a bespoke from a NYC tailor and I had a crush on the silk organza dress Isobel from Suzanne Neville at the Wedding Atelier in NYC. It features a very delicate floral appliqué scattered onto a corseted bodice and I loved its plunging sweetheart neckline and its overall romantic, unadulterated look.
"Highlights of the day included our saying vows and the emotional speeches from our parents, and the golden hour portrait session in a field full of wildflowers in front of the chateau. We couldn't have imagined a more romantic scenery!"
