French-inspired wedding with colorful flowers in San Diego
I think we can all agree that a good wedding is full of love and laughter, and Lauren and Sam's fall celebration at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego had both elements in equal abundance. You can simply feel the joy and adoration radiating from these two! Fall flowers in warm shades of peach, apricot and plum set the scene for this stunning French-inspired wedding, which was filled with personal touches that captured the couple's personalities perfectly.
Over to wedding planner powerhouse Heather from Amorology to tell us more about it: "The vibe was understated elegance and a dash of playfulness. As a nod to our bride getting lost in the pages of her favorite book of poems in the French countryside, we played with worn wood tables laid with soft velvets, textured linens and dancing candlelight, where blooms of sprawling flowers appeared to be pulled from a European meadow.
"The scent of warm baked bread and pastries kept guests feeling as if they were celebrating in their own homes surrounded by loved ones. With thoughtful heartfelt moments and sentimental surprises we allowed guests to be reminded of Lauren and Sam's love story where the past met the present and made way for the future of what is yet to be written. Florals in tones of peach, blush, merlot, rose and subtle pops of mustard were paired with marble votives and table numbers calligraphed on wooden cheese boards to tie into the 'breaking bread' theme.
"To play to Lauren's endearing habit of accidentally breaking things, we created a breaking bread escort display where guests were asked to find their seats inside the bread display cabinet adorned with florals and fresh greens. Different baguettes with hand tied cards held guests names and table numbers to help them find their seats and also offered a yummy snack to enjoy during cocktail hour!"
