Glass House Wedding with Floral Installations

After their original plans of a big wedding needed to be altered due to the pandemic, Emma & Steven knew just how to make up for it - by transforming their intimate glass house wedding venue into an enchanting garden oasis, alive with the most beautiful autumnal hues!
Emma & Steven began their union with a celebration brimming with blossoms, creativity, and connection at Glass House Creative Community. The family who own the venue also live there in a renovated farmhouse with a minimal, Scandinavian aesthetic - just one of the spaces they open for others to gather. With unique personal touches, abundant blooms, and a joyful dinner under a cloud of smokebush, their day was a celebration of gathering, connection, and love. A true reflection of who they are and they life they endeavor to create together.
From the bride, Emma: "As our plans changed several times due to the virus and the restrictions within our state, so did my vision for the day-entirely. Our color palette ended up being made up of various warm desert and pink tones - mirroring the florals – white, and a chartreuse/olive green. I had actually been collecting various amber drinking glasses and brass décor items with this style in mind since I was 18. I really just wanted the décor and colors to let the beautiful venue shine and reflect the natural colors & florals that it provided."
"It’s impossible for me to choose just one favorite moment from our day, but one that was so special to Steven and I was the dinner. Our friends and family sat along one long farm style table inside the glass house, and it was definitely cozy. We knew from very early on in our planning that a family-style meal was something that we wanted to include. There is something so special about sharing a meal with loved ones, passing the various dishes to one another. This time also included speeches, one of our most treasured moments of the evening."
"A favorite crafted detail of mine would have to be our favors/place cards. I used raw-edge capiz shells and wrote our guests names on them. We carefully drilled small holes in the shells, and wove ribbon through so that the place cards can double as personalized ornaments. I loved how delicate they looked- they were just what I had pictured."
"We wanted the florals to feel bright and fresh, to match the setting of the Glass House, and they brought it together. My favorite floral element was the “cloud” installation that ran down the center of the ceiling within the Glass House. For our wedding cake, we enjoyed a buttermilk raspberry cake with lemon buttercream frosting. Our cake was made by the lovely Annie Paul at AP Baked Goods. She did a wonderful job and was such a pleasure to work with."
"My one piece of advice that I would give to any bride-to-be is to not lose focus of what all of the planning is for. Figuring out all of the plans and details is so exciting, but ultimately, the wedding day is just the beginning of your new life shared with someone else. Make your future marriage the priority and the other details will work out the way they are meant to."
