From Abby Capalbo: "My husband and I visited the beautiful country of Ireland a few years ago, and there was something about that gorgeous country that stuck with me long after we left. The deep, vibrant shades of green, the generosity of the people, the connection you feel for the beautiful island seconds upon arriving, it’s all on another level that’s hard to describe. Dare I say, it’s bit spiritual. So when my dear friend, Ruth Eileen, mentioned she was traveling to Ireland and wanted to do a shoot while she was there, I basically jumped on a plane right then and there to share in the magic with her.
My vision for this shoot was to really highlight the beauty of this Ireland, and to bring to life the little details that never left my thoughts long after we left. I didn’t want to over-style the moments we captured, and my goal was to let the gorgeous colors and scenery really shine through. I felt like I met an angel when I connected with Ann Marie O’Leary, she not only brought my visions for florals to another level but she was also such an amazing spirit to work with through the process. She connected me with the beautiful designer of House of Delphine whose gowns were some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. The details in those dresses are still dancing in my dreams today. Sara at Ink Revival created a custom stationery suite so beautiful, I literally cried when I opened it, and Jess Blazejewski created a piece of art linen we used as a tablecloth that I’ll treasure forever. The amazing Audrey at Up Style Junkie was a gem to work with and a true talent in the beauty department, I couldn’t have asked for better hair and makeup on our gorgeous model. And of course, our lovely hostess Helen at Deelin Mor Lodge who opened up her gorgeous home to us for the day so we could shoot in authentic Irish home. We will be forever grateful to her generosity.
We truly worked along amazing artists to make this shoot come to life. Not only where they all beyond talented, but the energy of that day was so infectious and wonderful. Like we were all meant to cross paths. It was a day I truly will never forget, and we are all so excited to share the work with you."
