Haunting Style - A dreamy look at blush and bows

Jul 12, 2019 | Inspiration

This progressive pop of embellishment evokes couture feminism born from designers Reem Acra, Galia Lahav and Rosa Clara showcased here styled by Ani Hovhannisyan. I love this blend of old world romanticism with muted florals and an avant-garde bride...

"Our hope is that this ethereal bridal shoot with Stacie Ford Beauty evokes daydreams of strolling through an elegant garden on a spring morning. Golden light illuminates every fern and flower it touches as they sway ever so slightly in the whisper of a wind. Everything is warm and glowing and relaxed. The florals are large and unstructured in muted colors and bring this vision into the interior space where the brides are each waiting for their big moment.

The first bride wears a lace and tulle gown with a plunging illusion neckline. Her piercing blue eyes are the focal point of this makeup look, accented by a subtle coral lip and glowing, youthful skin. Her hair is swept back in an undone updo; her face framed by a few loose curls and cascades of pearls hanging from her ears. The second bride wears an eye-catching blush gown with a low back, long tulle skirt and sparkling appliqués covering the bodice. Her long hair falls down her back in loose waves and is crowned with a tiara. She is stunning in makeup with nude and rose tones. Our third bride wears an elegant gown covered in lace appliqué, all the way up to the illusion straps and back. The wow moment for this dress: a glittering beaded bow starting at the base of her neck and falling down her back. The hair is also in a loose updo, with a center part and loose tendrils adding to the romance of the look. Later on, it has fallen out and curls softly around her face and shoulders. Her skin is fresh and dewy and her natural beauty has been enhanced in such an understated way. The fourth bride wears a structured brocade dress - strapless in an unconventional neckline with a full skirt that accentuates a small waist. She is unfussy; wears her hair down and loose in a center part with minimal nude makeup and a healthy glow. We wish that future brides would be inspired by the dreamy, simple elegant aesthetic that we have created with a touch of whimsy. We believe that a woman’s beauty comes from within and it is our desire that each and every one would believe that."
