Lin and Hailong’s Oahu Island Elopement

Sep 13, 2018 | Weddings

The intimacy of an elopement gets us right in the feels, every single time. It is not often that couples truly elope with just each other, so we're smitten with Lin and Hailong's beautiful oceanside elopement by photographer Alice Ahn. I immediately adored the serenity between the two lovebirds, the ethereal film images by Alice, and of course... the Hawaiian coastline on Oahu Island. Sometimes the most precious moments are best shared between two people and they show us that today...

From photographer Alice Ahn: "I love photographing all types of unions, whether that be gigantic celebrations of 300 guests, or simple little elopements because they’re all about one thing: love. I instantly felt drawn to Lin and Hailong’s love story as they chose to elope, just the two of them, in a private manner. After the dust settled from acquiring their new titles of Mr. and Mrs., they both wanted an elopement session captured on film to keep forever which was sweet!

The three of us headed out to Makapuu Beach on Oahu Island for a serene sunset session. We encountered lots of wind, which ended up being so romantic! The hazy sunlight acted almost like a filter and Lin’s ridiculously gorgeous gown, purchased from BHLDN , was the perfect choice."
