Lisa and Alex’s Tuckahoe Plantation Wedding
Although Lisa and Alex were married right in the middle of THREE hurricanes on the East Coast, you'd never know. With very Southern details, like the blue toile pattern and classic florals adorning a plantation, we fell in love with the charm and class of their outdoor wedding! You'll have to read below about more details of this super sweet and timeless wedding by Emily March Photography, including her theory on how the weather just seemed to calm just for their ceremony...
From Emily March Photography: "There are so many things I love about Lisa and Alex’s wedding. The toile pattern that showed up in so many design elements, Lisa’s absolutely incredible Lazaro gown, the way Alex looked at her as she walked down the aisle, the 1950’s Bentley they made their getaway in - the list goes on! These two were married during a trifecta of hurricanes on the east coast, but, thankfully, the clouds parted enough for their ceremony to still happen outside. I’d like to think that was Lisa’s father, who passed away several years ago, looking out for his daughter :) This wedding was the first time a ceremony had happened in front of Tuckahoe Plantation’s historic home, and I’m so grateful that I was there to capture it. I love how LK Events used such clean and classic designs to let the beauty of the house and property speak for themselves. Lisa and Alex have known each other most of their lives and walked through many highs and lows together. It was wonderful to see their families come together and celebrate their love and a wedding they’d been waiting years for."

This is gorgeous!!! Thanks so much for sharing. Just out of curiosity, where exactly is the Tuckahoe Plantation? I’ve never heard of it, but I’d love more info if you have it! You mentioned the east coast, is it in one of the Carolinas? Anyhow, thanks for these gorgeous photos. I was wondering about the seats. Because it was an outdoor event, did they use any sort of wedding seating chart maker? I found this one from AllSeated to be helpful, but I’m really open to any suggestions. For the reception, I’m assuming they did, or maybe they utilized another service/wedding planning company for that? What was the size of the event? Please let me know! I’m very interested :) thanks so much!
