Let us transport you to Maui on this drizzly grey December morning, where white sandy beaches and sparkling azure waters lead you to the dramatic lava alcoves of Wailea. Over to Carolee, founder of White Orchid Wedding: "Finding the perfect setting was rather simple. We knew the island of Maui was the destination and with the dreamy essence of the gowns, near the ocean was a must. Known for its unique stark white contrast to the landscape and mediterranean influence, the Fairmont Kea Lani, nestled along the southern coastline of the island, was the perfect choice.

"We immediately sought out Debbie Hemingway as our floral designer as her artistry for romance runs unparalleled and in alignment with our vision. For the ceremony stage, we used the lovely gazebo site on property and wanted to maintain the simplicity of this serene setting with a light airy feel. The round rings of the terraced areas were symbolic to the rings of a wedding.

"Above it all was the grand dining celebration on the upper terrace where lovely floor length La Tavola linens were adorned with more lush florals. Surrounded by layers of bougainvillea terraces, this open air setting under the stars gave a feeling of being in a grand Hawaiian estate. Our pretty cake trio was created by the Fairmont's amazing pastry chef, which added a sweet touch in its monochromatic cream color on the raw trestle table.

"As the sun set into the sea and golden hour fell upon us, the whole team found ourselves on the beach, slipping off heels and dancing in the sand. Maui really is the place where wedding dreams come true!"
