Meadowlark 1939 Garden Wedding Under a Pecan Tree
We're in the mood for a beautifully executed real wedding this week so you're in luck if you want to join us on this visual feast through Maggie & Cameron's big day! Set in the historic Meadowlark 1939 Estate, this garden setting lends itself perfectly to Maggie's flowing Leanne Marshall wedding dress and natural bouquet with pops of deep red. Our favorite part of this wedding is the romantic ceremony held under the venue's 150 year old pecan tree! Just keep scrolling for more....
From photographer Hannah Forsberg: "Maggie and Cameron wed this past Saturday at a gorgeous venue located just south of the heart of Atlanta called Meadowlark 1939. The day was graced with beautiful tones of blushes, creams, and touches of gold as these two said “I do” in a beautiful outdoor ceremony. Witnessing this day was truly an honor, because these to share at such a tenderness that leaves onlookers breathless. We loved being able to hear how the Lord worked in their lives, and it is unmistakable that these two are perfect together."
"Meadowlark is a family owned historic Estate spanning over the course of 13 acres. Filled with formal gardens, the estate features hand sculpted statues, and a beautiful 150 year old pecan tree that serves as the main vantage point in front of the beautiful historic home. The home is called the Ingram house, featuring historic molding and Tall beautiful windows that complement a stunning fireplace. These elements intertwined so beautifully with Maggie’s custom Leanne Marshall Gown from The Sentimentalist. What made the day even more meaningful was that Maggie did all of the flowers by herself along with her matron of honor, Meredith, foraging goods from the grounds.
A groundskeeper maintains the beauty of the estate with a stunning greenhouse nestled on the south side of the venue. The entire venue is picturesque, leaving visitors feeling as if they walked into a secret garden which features a vast array of blooms including cherry blossoms, irises dogwoods, wisteria, vibernum, peonies, and southern ivy. These two celebrated their love for one another under the grandeur of the giant pecan tree, singing hymns with those nearest to their hearts and sharing communion together after an exchange of heirloom family rings and hand-lettered vows (the bride also happens to be a calligrapher and owns Confetti Press).
Afterwards, guests enjoyed wonderful lawn games and cocktails throughout the estate, soon after being joined by this precious bride and groom."
