Minimalist Wedding Inspiration for the Hopeless Romantic

Mar 12, 2018 | Inspiration

We've been discussing minimalism in the wedding industry a lot recently and we're so happy to see the trend for 'less is more' becoming more popular. We love to see how industry leaders are utilizing less props and styling accessories and focusing on more meaningful and useful items to make your wedding style timeless. Fine Art Curation member Anna Peters recently teamed up with stylist Emma Natter and floral designer Botanique to create the perfect example of romantic minimalism for the fine art bride.

From Anna Peters: "For this editorial, we were excited to explore a modern, minimalist wedding that still felt soft and romantic. Clean, fresh design doesn’t need to feel sterile or harsh: we set out to craft a fresh, minimal wedding that would still appeal to the hopeless romantic in all of us."

"The incredibly talented Emma Natter understood my vision perfectly and created this shoot in soft, muted tones. A typography-driven invitation suite from Kaela Rawson added a modern touch, while we kept our bride Bridget’s look soft and slightly vintage-inspired.

To top it off, Carla of Honey Crumb Cakes contributed my favorite element of all: a stunningly simple cake with a unique double-tall base. Sometimes, I feel guilty asking such talented artist to create something that seems so basic, but genuinely elegant simplicity is surprisingly hard to get just right. It truly takes a master to craft something that hits the right balance: effortlessly simple but still striking and memorable.

To continue the story of our couple, Emma also envisioned a humble, intimate breakfast for our bride and groom to share the morning after their celebration. Full of natural textures and quiet moments, sharing a simple meal together is the perfect way to wind down from a wonderful wedding!"
