Modern spring wedding at District Winery in Washington DC
The most adorable flower girl almost stole the show at Don and Kate's modern spring wedding at District Winery in Washington DC. Where can we get a pair of those cute daisy sunglasses?! But of course, all eyes were on Kate as she walked down the church aisle on the arm of her father, looking effortlessly chic in a minimal long-sleeve gown from Justin Alexander.
Bride Kate works in the wedding industry and used her expertise and contacts to craft an elegant wedding with a cool industrial vibe, including photographer friend (and Fine Art Curation member) Lisa Blume Photography. Located in The Yards Park, District Winery provided the perfect modern backdrop while capturing the essence of being in Washington DC.
Gorgeous flowers in tones of rust, peach and blush created by Darling & Daughters brought warmth to the early spring day, while patterned linens from BBJ La Tavola and tableware rentals in wood and tortoise shell from Something Vintage finished the unique, modern look the couple were hoping for. The last part of their design aesthetic was through their cake. Kate had always been in awe of the creations from Buttercream Bakeshop, who showcased an abstract, vertical speckled design incorporating the colors of their wedding. Perfection!
