Monchromatic Modern Arabian Wedding Ideas

From stylists Save the Date: "What can happen when two completely different worlds meet? Arabian heritage meeting the style of old romantic Europe. For us, it’s sort of a natural mix waiting to be explored more as these two worlds are being joined, both in marriage and in people moving across boarders much too often nowadays.

We dreamed of a blend of an authentic Arabian style seen through the eyes of European old world luxury. From Olga, the stylist - as a stylist and wedding planner from Europe working in the Middle East, I have always loved the cultural buildings and history of back home and the renaissance in Europe is something I have been passionate about for long, so much so that I have taken classes in historic renaissance. Living in the UAE I knew I wanted to merge these two worlds at some point. And when we stumbled upon this unique new venue who hadn’t been visited by anyone in the UAE wedding industry – we just knew we had to create something beautiful. The venue, Al Bait, a newly opened 5-star luxury hotel, is the largest and most ambitious historical preservation project of its kind in the UAE, offering a one-of-a-kind destination with 53 rooms for its guests, spread over 10.000 square meters. To see such a unique property and conservation project turned into a hotel was a perfect opportunity to show wedding couples that are looking for a luxurious option what can happen when you blend these two worlds. We fell in love with Al Bait from taking the first steps into the narrow walkways. Many of the buildings date back to the early years of the last century when they still constructed walls of coral from the sea. The main features of Arabic architecture are narrow shaded pathways, coral and stone walls, wind towers and carved wooden doors with traditional patterns. We found all of it at this beautiful spot.
Not needing to do much but to accentuate and complement the beautiful architecture, Olga added white linen drapery to create a soft and airy feel, using a natural derived palette of ivory, sand beige, and browns for the table details and florals with some touches of black. The table setting is sophisticated and relaxed. At the same time, we paid attention to the details such as monogrammed menus, tassels and brass accessories which fit so well into the Middle Eastern region. The invitation set created by Pret a Papier who is part of the local scene here brought velvet with embossed detailing in as a bolder European element. Always thinking of understated luxury we added hats, silky flowy fabrics and Eugenia, from Tulipano flowers created both earrings and a hand-piece out of flowers. Our nod to the henna patterns many local women will adorn themselves with before their wedding night.
In this part of Arabia, many women wear a black robe called Abaya and so we wanted to explore the ways in which we would match a black outfit with inspiration in the abaya to the sandy walls of the venue Al Bait. Since the abaya usually covers most of the body, Arabic women love to wear a lot of accessories on their hands and beautiful shoes, as these are the parts of the body that are uncovered. Traditionally a soft thin scarf is worn to cover a woman’s hair which has a discrete and unrevealed beauty, this we wanted to reflect in the layers of silk fabric we used throughout."
