Moody fall wedding inspiration with blush dress and red peonies
As we enter spring here in the northern hemisphere, our friends down under are nearing fall and all the rich beauty the cosy season has to offer. Warm tones, organic textures and ripe seasonal fruits inspire this stunning editorial from a dream team of Australian wedding creatives, celebrating everything we love about autumn. Fine Art Curation member Serenity Photography captured this gorgeous seasonal shoot that shows us how to design a super chic fall wedding.
From Event Merchant Co, who designed the event: “We designed a raw and organic tablescape that layered lightweight linen elements to create body and movement, contrasting with pared back tableware to reflect the sparsity of the autumnal season," explains founder, Annie. "Ripe pomegranates, pears, persimmons and chestnuts provided rich colors and added texture and life to the stillness of the tablescape. Scattered stone pieces reflected the grand stone chapel and anchored the tablescape to the venue; embracing a truly intimate dining experience”.
Jess from Sassafras Flower Design created the stunning florals with a moody and dramatic palette. "Outside the chapel, we built a low installation that created a lush, rambling backdrop," explains Jess. "Building on layered caramel hydrangea and fresh foliages including olive branches and acacia I added fresh blooms in luxe velvety reds, charcoal and toffee, which beautifully offset the chalky textures of the stone wall behind.
"Inside the chapel, upright florals shaped to frame the window and our lovely muse. These incorporated more fat red peony, black baccara and cappuccino roses. A series of low, artfully arranged bowls on the table were arranged with heuchera leaves, blown roses and liquorice vines, paired with baby eggplants, pomegranate and hazelnuts tumbled through the soft linen and contrasting beautifully with the sliced travertine and silvery ferns."
