Moroccan-inspired Asian wedding in Dubai
We love the vibrancy and tradition of Asian weddings and today's celebration weaves in Moroccan influences to create a gorgeous fusion of style. Usman and Sabah created an intimate joyous soirée, captured beautifully by Dubai wedding photographer and Fine Art Curation member, Shay Photography.
Over to Shay: "Asian weddings are not just about exchange of vows on the wedding day. The pre-wedding celebrations are equally important for the couple and their families, and a great way to build up excitement for the wedding.
"Here we see the traditional Henna ceremony, where the bride stains her hands with the slurry paste of leaves from the Henna tree, which leaves a dark stain, much like a temporary tattoo. Usually she tattoos the name of her future husband along with floral designs.
"Bride Sabah is an event planner and she designed and planned every detail of their celebration meticulously. Working to a palette of rich green and earth tones, Sabah created a Moroccan lounge party feel at their venue, Al Seef Heritage Hotel, alongside big earthen pots, leather poofs and rustic custom signage in organic burlap. The inspiration for the tapestry was a minimal take on the venue, the sand dunes of Arabia and the memories of their families."
