Ocean Inspired Destination Wedding in Positano
Dear Sergio Sorrentino: thank you for giving us the ultimate wanderlust for our Tuesday. We are so in love with today's beautiful, intimate designation wedding in legendary Positano. Andrea and Andrea (yes, we wrote that correctly!) live in sunny California, got engaged in romantic Paris, so it only makes sense that their story would escalate to a stunning celebration on the Amalfi Coast. The pale blues, greens, and soft grey and ivory tones speak to our hearts and we especially love Andrea's ethereal BHLDN dress. Oh, and Sergio's film photographs are as dreamy as it comes...
From bride Andrea: "I never thought I wanted to get married but when Andrea proposed, I knew I could never say no to being his wife. So we decided to have a small, intimate and romantic wedding in Positano where he brought me after he proposed in the Luxemburg Garden in Paris. Most of my family had never even been to Europe and his family lives in Italy, so we thought a beautiful destination wedding in the Amalfi Coast would not only be the perfect place to get married, but also a once in a lifetime vacation for both our families.
Since we chose Positano as the destination, I wanted the colors of the Mediterranean Sea to be the inspiration for our wedding. Soft blues, teal and grays were the color scheme I gave my bridesmaids so they could choose their own dresses. I wanted everyone to choose their own styles so they could hopefully rewear their dresses again one day.
As we were planning our wedding from California and traveling for 4 weeks during our wedding/honeymoon, we really had to trust the vendors we selected to make our visions come to life. We did not bring anything except our wedding attire. I did wear the same pearl earrings and pearl bracelet that my mother and older sister wore at their weddings!
Our wedding will probably have been the only time both our families are all together so we really cherished having everyone meet and share the evening with each other. Andrea’s niece also surprised us during dinner by serenading “All of Me” by John Legend with the help of acoustics played on the violin and guitar by Sorrento Live Music.
Nothing really go as you planned for your wedding day, so let go and enjoy every second because it will fly by and you will only be left with the memories from your fairy tale evening."
