Peach and blush Savannah Wedding Inspiration
If you're won over by soft, delicate, blush florals in abundance like I am, then you've stopped by the right place today. Photographer (and aptly named) The Happy Bloom alongside stylist and floral designer Tristan Needham, headed to stunning Savannah recently for Lindsay & Nate's anniversary session and they went all out on the blooms! The Spanish Moss for once, paled into the background and this sweet peach and blush palette took centre stage...
From Lindsay: "My husband and I decided we wanted to take a trip to Savannah, Georgia to visit some of my dearest friends, and figured, if we would be in the beautiful South, we had to make our way over to Wormsloe for an anniversary shoot. It quickly turned into a styled editorial being that our good friends are the amazing film photographers, The Happy Bloom, and gorgeous designer, Tristan Needham! When we got married, we didn’t pay much attention to details and elements in our wedding that truly reflected who we were as a couple. We were young, and didn’t have a lot of money, so this anniversary session was a chance for us to have timeless images that was authentic, and created around elements that truly spoke to us. THB and Tristan were amazing help creating us the sweetest details that made our anniversary session feel like we were right back on our wedding day. An interesting detail that they were unaware of, is that on our wedding day back in 2012, we incorporated birds (randomly) into a few of our decorations, and it actually touched my heart that the candle sticks that Tristan had brought from her home had a golden bird on the base. It was just the touch of nostalgia I needed to warm my heart!"
From Designer, Tristan: "When friend and colleague Lindsay Geodken says she wants to celebrate her anniversary in Savannah - you of course plan an editorial for her. While we were planning, we knew we wanted it to be romantic and fun - nothing else. Lindsay and I both share a passion for flowers, so we knew that her favorite season blooms would be at the heart of it all. After flying in, Lindsay and I actually created her bouquet and arrangement together. We paired modern flatware, with romantic blooms, and placed it all atop a soft velvet linen to give it warmth. They ordered their favorite flavor of cake, and styled it with a mixture of modern yet romantic elements. The romantic row of Oaks at Wormsloe Historic were the perfect backdrop for Lindsay and Nate. And, albeit it cold - it was such a special day for all of us to contribute / collaborate on something so special."
