Prospect Park NYC Wedding with Funfetti Wedding Cake!
We LOVE a fun, modern wedding...especially when it takes place in Brooklyn's Prospect Park and with a Funfetti wedding cake by Milkbar! But add on the soft Summer color palette, huge Dahlia bouquet and cute pooch Summer stealing the show, I love it even more! Molly Oliver Flowers, created one of the most gorgeous ceremony Hoopah's with an array of soft blooms against a contrasting lake view. From Kylee Yee: "Don’t let the light and softness of this wedding fool you - Whilst it might look like a balmy afternoon in Prospect Park in NYC but it was a stunning day in October where Alexandra & Michael took their vows to become husband and Wife.
I first met Michael when he contacted me to capture his proposal to Allie in October 2018. He is one of the most organised grooms with the proposal taking place whilst she was on a girls trip into the City! So of course, getting married in Brooklyn during October was significant for many reasons, having lived there before as well as getting engaged there. So getting married within a place that meant so much to them both throughout their relationship was incredible for them.
The soft summery watercolour palette was brought to life through outstanding floral design by Molly Oliver Flowers. Particularly the outstanding Hoopah in front of the water, the flowers just stood out. The bridal bouquet had outstanding large Dahlias teamed with softened eucalyptus. It was such a sight to see! The delicate of the bridesmaid dresses just added to the elegance of the overall look against the backdrop of the stunning location. It’s clear from this wedding how cute and fun they are together with including their gorgeous dog Summer during the ceremony along with their rainbow confetti cake!
A favourite part of the design of the wedding for me was the long banquet tables lined along the space with posies of Dahlias in all pastel and fun tones with foliage running along the length. The simplicity of the colour palette really allows for the space to sing with all the natural light and pops of floral colour.
Overall this wedding shows the beauty of their love and how even in Fall, you can create a day reminiscent of summer."
