Rainy Day Wine Country Wedding with Rainbow
Worried about rain on your wedding day? Fear not. If anything, today's real wedding of Kenzie and Andrew shows that nothing can stop your wedding day from looking perfect! In fact. without the rain on their wedding day, they wouldn't have had the beautiful double rainbow that appeared towards the end of the day! From bride, Kenzie: "I described my wedding vibe to almost everyone as having "Jane Austen Elegance with Wes Anderson Charm." Andrew and I were going to elope but I'm so glad we didn't. While the stress of planning a wedding and teaching high school full-time was incredibly difficult I would not trade the experience for anything and I am so happy we got to have our day. We live in beautiful Walla Walla Wine Country and our venue was absolutely perfect. I knew I wanted minimal decorations and to rely on the natural beauty of our setting. Bella Flora Farms allowed us to do just that. It was so rewarding to see my dream become a reality with the help of my wedding planner/florist/venue owner Kerrie Flinders and my talented wedding stylist and sister Reagan Chandler. We were able to capture the pale pink elegance of a Jane Austen novel while the whimsical charm of Wes Anderson came out in some of the details.
It rained on our wedding day and that resulted in an absolutely gorgeous double rainbow. I could not have asked for a more beautiful day or more beautiful people to spend it with. My brother-in-law married us and kept the ceremony short and sweet while also making our guests laugh with references to Star Wars and, my queen, Beyonce. Some of my favorite memories were re-enacting the “Elephant Love Medley” from Moulin Rouge with two women I have been friends with since we were fourteen and forcing my new husband to hold my champagne as I spun all around the the dance floor to Abba’s “Dancing Queen.” The wine we drank was made by my husband’s hands and we roasted an entire pig from a local farm for our guests. It was intimate and lovely and wonderful. The photos Andrew and I took with Kerry Jeanne while we snuck away for a bit are some of my favorites. Though we can be camera shy she was able to capture the love in our eyes and I am forever grateful that those memories are preserved. My wedding day truly was one of the best days of my life. The outpouring of love we received was so touching and such a wonderful way to start our life together as husband and wife."
