Rainy Mountainside Wedding Inspiration in Colorado

May 24, 2016 | Inspiration

Dusty pinks, mountain views, and a vintage Gossamer gown ... sounds perfect for our Tuesday! For our mountain-loving brides, today's feature by Laura Murray and A Vintage Affair is the perfect source of wedding inspiration. We love the juxtaposition of the unruly wilderness and the dapper couple, especially the groom to be's preppy look.

In places where weather can be unpredictable and surprising, perhaps an 'undone' hair and makeup look could be a great option as seen here by Faces by Liz... rain? Who cares! We adore the romantic feel that it gives...

From Laura Murray Photography: "Jessica (from A Vintage Affair Events) and I wanted to incorporate the feel of Colorado in this shoot, so we chose a mountaintop location. The day of our shoot the rain rolled in, but it provided a soft backdrop for the photos. Rain isn't always a bad thing-- it can create drama and add to the moodiness of a photograph. We also happened to catch Colorado at peak season for fall colors.

Hints of yellow leaves peeked through the forest. For attire, we chose vintage gowns from Gossamer. Yonder House provided a lush and vibrant bouquet, as well as a graphic rug and blanket to use in the shoot. And, Cast Calligraphy provided paper goods that played into the mountain theme."
