Renaissance wedding inspiration with a modern twist
If you're inspired by art history and specifically the Renaissance period, you're going to love today's flower-filled editorial hosted at Graydon House in Toronto, Canada. Focusing on key characteristics of the European Renaissance era, including realism, nature and the Roman and Greek influence of classicism, Toronto wedding planner and Fine Art Curation member Narelle Janine Events put a modern spin on this distinctive period in art history that's sure to inspire all you art-loving couples.
"The Renaissance Era was a visual representation of European artist culture at its finest," explains Narelle. "Our interpretation was a rediscovery of literature, movement and artistic expression - a classical and modern take on the Renaissance period."
"We kept the colour palette muted with lots of delicate and beautiful details throughout the floral and tablescape details. We designed two table settings to reflect the artistic paintings produced in the Renaissance era - one with nude and pastel tones, along with another one with bolder burgundy colours. We selected gowns fit for royalty with hand-beaded detailing and intricate French embroidered lace."
