Ryan and Cali’s Classic Destination Wedding in Provence
Ryan and Cali celebrated their nuptials in the most glamorous and epic way possible - in the south of France at a beautiful Chateau. We love the effortless beauty of the day - from the formal Kingswood String Quartet to the traditional and stunning Monique Lhuillier, we know their special day will resonate well with our Fine Art brides.
Wedding Sparrow favorite, France based Rory Wylie Photography, brilliantly photographed their elegant wedding and the lovely styling by the always talented Lavender & Rose. Our favorite detail? The simple, yet impactful and charming ceremony design...
From Rory Wylie Photography: "Earlier this year Ryan & Cali traveled from Los Angeles, California with their loved ones to the French Riviera for their stunning Summer wedding at Chateau Castellaras.
Just a 25 minute drive from Cannes, Castellaras is nestled in a beautiful hilltop location surrounded by pine, olive and cyprus trees, with views that stretch all the way to the Mediterranean sea. Steeped in history and French sophistication the medieval château was the perfect setting for Ryan & Cali’s special day.
Meeting for their fist look on a small pathway, with Cali’s mum and bridesmaids not far behind, this couple’s love for one another was palpable, and Ryan heart on his sleeve as he bent in a gentlemanly gesture to kiss his bride to be’s hand.
Family & friends were greeted on arrival by the harmonies of the Kingswood String Quartet, and elegantly dressed in Monique Lhuillier, Cali carried a gorgeous mixture of soft and bright florals expertly crafted by Wayne Riley Flowers as she walked down the aisle on her father’s arm,and married her love in front of the Château’s 11th century chapel.
After the nuptials, candles were lit and private prayers said for the newlyweds within the peaceful cool of the chapel’s old stone walls, before the lively sounds of Reinhardt and Grappelli inspired gypsy jazz music filled the air, and all enjoyed canapés and champagne in the warmth of the June sun.
As the sun set, Cali & Ryan danced their fist dance as husband and wife, and then speeches, dinner, and a traditionally French Croquembouche were shared before a night of fun.
Congratulations and best wishes again to this sweet couple, what a wonderful day it was, impeccably designed and realized by the talented ladies at Lavender & Rose!"

Love everything about this wedding: the century-old Chateau, the subtle palette of the bride’s and bridesmaid’s dresses, the settings for the ceremony and dinner. Everything is so tasteful and beautiful.
Kingswood String Quartet sound wonderful, bring sophistication and a fitting ambience to any event. Musicians and live bands will love what they do and will show their passion in creating high quality sound for your wedding. Equally, its worth remembering live acts aren’t just bands, there’s a huge number of professional musicians out there to choose from. Whether it be classical, jazz, funk, blues, country, gospel, pop, rock experienced musicians have trained for years on their craft and can add that atmosphere at your wedding or event with their playing.
Very pretty. I love the colours and all the dresses so gorgeous!
This is beautiful…
Other than the beauty and charm of bride & groom, the way and art of clicking the picture has added icing to the cake. These are perfect poses clicked at perfect time. The most important thing is their compatibility. Both of them are looking perfect with each other in love, and affection…
This defines rustic wedding for me. It looks beautiful and understated but also very modern and stylish. Really stunning - you’ve nailed it!
