Sarah and Jon’s Old World Intimate Vow Renewal

May 18, 2017 | Weddings

“Chains do not hold a marriage together. It is threads, hundreds of tiny threads which sew people together through the years.” -Simone Signoret

Sarah and Jon made a promise to each other when they got married - to love each other in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, and for better or worse. This promise is tested by daily forces for every single couple. Marriage is truly a journey, rather than a culmination of love at a couple's wedding and we have all the feels for Sarah and Jon's simple and intimate vow renewal, honoring the promise they once made to each other and still commit to every single day. As the bride Sarah is a photographer herself, each design element was flawless and stunning with an old world feel. The images by Nicole Colwell Photography reflect a pensive vibe in which we feel Sarah and Jon's stedfast love straight through the lens!

From Nicole Colwell Photography: "Sarah is a wedding photographer and when she asked me to capture her vow renewal I was so honored. Sarah and I were Facebook friends but only knew each other in the social media photographer world. Sarah and Jon were separated for a while and they mended their marriage. In celebration Jon re-proposed to Sarah and a vow renewal on their 6 year wedding anniversary took place at the beautiful Salubria in VA.

Sarah planned such beautiful details. She wore a blush vera wang gown paired with a blue velvet ribbon. Her large bouquet completed her look with such beautiful blooms even little hidden pineapples(Sarah’s Favorite). Jon looked dashing in his look with a unique peacock bowtie.

The pair said their vows in front of the beautiful historic house. They wanted to really keep this celebration intimate and really make it about the two of them. Inside the house sat the sweetest sweetheart table adorned with greenery and candles. I loved all of her personal touches from their six years in the making sign, favorite quote banner, pictures of Sarah’s deceased Grandparents and the rest of her beautiful details. It was perfect.

The charming estate provided so many beautiful picture perfect spots however the house itself was a sight to see..adding a beautiful in love couple to mix was magical."

What an amazing vow renewal. The couple looked stunning and the backdrop made the whole thing. Congratulations to Sarah and Jon and all the best to them in the future.
