Sophisticated Parisian Wedding at the Rodin Museum

Oct 17, 2018 | Inspiration

Some of our favorite pieces on the blog are real weddings, no doubt. But some are the result of creative partnerships that are incredibly beautiful ways of interpreting a brand - that is what today's lovely Parisian feature is all about. Stylist Les Grands Moments teamed up with a few very talented folks, including film photographer Gert Huygaerts, to revive and renew her brand. We fell in love with the feminine appeal, the blush linens, the sweet florals by Floraison, and don't get us started on how AMAZING the location is. Musée Rodin Paris is one of the prettiest museums without a shadow of a doubt and we are simply in love. Read more from Geraldine...

From stylist Les Grands Moments: "About this editorial shoot: By working on the new brand identity and the new website of Les Grands Moments, I felt the need to release my artistic vision by creating an inspiration shoot. This to share and to illustrate the essence and the values of Les Grands Moments. Paris cames to my mind as the perfect setting for this chic and elegant wedding. Two sources of inspiration led me through this creative process, the desire and expectations of a modern and elegant bride and the motto of Les Grands Moments: Simply chic.

Inspired by the natural beige color of the Haussmanian Parisian buildings, I decided to create a range of sweet, neutral and powder tones colours with a touch of « Terracotta » as a wink to the iconic Guerlain tan powder that almost each Parisian woman have in her make up set.

For this Parisian shoot, I wanted to introduce a stunning wedding venue, discreet and unseen yet during an editorial, even though it is one of the most Parisian exclusive place to host weddings. A venue that brings together romantism, elegance and arts. Rodin Museum was the perfect place. Our couple then strolled to the edge of the Seine river and then walked on Saint Germain-des-Prés district.

I made all my stylistic choices as I am doing for real weddings, by focusing the greater attention to each detail and by selecting unique and sophisticate items. For example, the jewels are real antiques of the 30s, with authentics diamonds and sold by a Parisian woman, passionate antique gemologist dealer. The silk table runner comes from Maison Sabben and its color have been done bespoke for Les Grands Moments. Limoges porcelain crockery was chosen as a tribute to the french art of hosting. Flowers are especially delicates and precious… « Simplicity is the keynote of true elegance » In the same time, I always kept in my mind this stylistic claim of one of our most famous example of Parisian woman : Ms. Gabrielle Chanel.

I really want to say MERCI to my photographer, Gert Huygaerts. He understood immediatly my sensitivity, followed me in my artistic vision and made it real with his stunning photos and also MERCI to all the amazing vendors team who came on board with me and did a very good job."
