Spring winery wedding with pastel flowers in California

Lisa and Gerardo's spring winery wedding in California was full of intention, heartfelt details, and showcased a modern take on tradition. They worked with California wedding planner, Naomi Bennett Design, to create a stunning celebration with a focus of gorgeous seasonal flowers and the importance of family.

Over to Naomi to tell us more about it: "An overabundance of flowers everywhere was key for Lisa and Gerardo. They wanted the whole day to be decked out in florals so it felt like the epitome of spring. To lean into the floral theme and create a garden party soiree, we went with the idea of 'love in bloom'.

"Flowers were in every space from the ceremony gazebo, to the bud vase seating chart to the long reception tables lined with centerpieces, to the floral nest for the cake, to lastly the table names which used the flower varieties from the actual recipe used by their florist, Lily Roden Floral Studio. Their wedding guests understood the assignment too! The fashion for this wedding was incredible, with ladies in floral dresses and garden party hats, and gents in colorful suits and patterned attire.

"The wedding was also a beautiful celebration of the couple’s two cultures and the significance of family. They chose to honor their families by including all of their siblings in the wedding party. It was special for Gerardo to include his baby sister in his groom’s party. A detail that we chose to include for both of their cultures, was the seating chart bud vase. A tradition with both of their cultures is that at the end of the wedding, guests will take home any flower arrangements, bud vases or centerpieces. So we chose to go with a bud vase seating chart and favors for each family unit, as a way to to lean into the floral theme but also allow guests to take something beautiful home."
