Stunning elopement with mountain views in Granada
There's nothing quite like a pandemic to derail your wedding plans but as Shabei and Xiaocong discovered, eloping to Europe can be just as special and beautiful as a traditional wedding. After numerous postponements, the couple, who are originally from China and now life in San Francisco, decided to elope to Granada in Spain for an intimate celebration with a backdrop of stunning views.
Shabei and Xiaocong's day began with a photoshoot in the striking historic Nasrid palaces in the Alhambra palace and fortress complex in Granada - one of most famous monuments of Islamic architecture in the world - with European wedding photographer and Fine Art Curation member, Diane Sotero. The couple then changed outfits for their first look and ceremony on a terrace overlooking the mountains, live-streamed to family and friends at home in China and California.
"Afterwards Shabei and Xiaocong had their wedding dinner overlooking the Alhambra palace and Granada’s mountains," explains Diane. "They had a beautiful live flamenco guitar playing throughout the day and the atmosphere was amazing."
