From smith + james events: "This story was born out of a longing for simplicity; a seaside escape that chases the sunlight.
We wanted to do something elegant and maybe a little irreverent. While we love putting together shoots filled with details, for this concept we really instead wanted to communicate a feeling: that perfect golden moment and a mood of forever romance. The florals are unpretentious. The dress is an heirloom. The waves come and go with the tide.
With such a simple message to communicate, we knew it was important to work together cohesively. We first chose the location and then the dress, and the floral drew inspiration from both. Our model illustrated the passion of the shoot effortlessly and we loved the way her hair and make-up completed the whole look. Joey was so beautifully able to capture the feeling of this shoot and we are thrilled with the way it all turned out."
